Case Study
Max-huassmann is an architecture firm based in Abuja, Nigeria. MAX HAUSSMANN is distinguished firm of allied Professionals based in Abuja and offices is Jos Plateau with over 14 years cognate experience practicing to reach the highest levels of craft and quality throughout the Design, construction and supervision Process.
Problem
The client required a complete restructure and redesign of their website as to help better distribute the project of the company on the web page for ease of view. Furthermore, as the website will contain lots of images, there was a need to factor in the load time of these images will considering the pixel quality of images used.
Goal
1. Complete revamp of the client’s website to meet modern design.
2. Optimizing the images for enhanced load time and uncompromised quality in pixels.
Research
Understanding the process
Firstly, I had a run through on the previous website to understand the site map properly. Secondly, I researched on website standards in the architecture domain to have an insight on what is obtainable at that time.
Information gathering
From my research, I noticed that the quality of images are quite good but loads at a very slow rate, which is fruastraiting to users of the website.
PS IMAGE RESIZE
I collated all the images required for the project and using photoshop I was able to optimize these images for the web (75% reduction in size) without any significant compromise on the quality in pixels.
Optimizing Images
Carousel-Filter Interface
Design approach was drawn out of a minimalistic perspective and the navigations were made simple. To properly arrange the client’s projects on the website, I designed a carousel filter system on the project page so users can filter through images.
